  When we are in difficult times, prayer can be the pick-up we need. We can deliver our prayers in ways, by speaking, contemplation, or even singing. With prayer, we can acknowledge God’s power and goodness by recognizing our need to look to Him.   In difficult times, we can submit a prayer request to a member of the Church so they can prayer on our behalf. How do I pray to God? What is a genuine prayer?

  Prayer is the intimate communication that one has with the holy God of the universe whom we have, through faith, received as our Heavenly Father. Prayer is not something that we do to make others see us. We don't perform to demonstrate how pious and holy that we are. Sometimes we felt the Lord didn’t listen to our prayers. We doubted whether we have been abandoned by the Lord. We questioned ourselves why doesn’t the Lord listen to our prayer? We must learn first how should we pray so that the Lord will listen. I’ll share three ways to practice, hoping they’ll be helpful for you. First, worship God with heart and honesty, speak to Him the true words in our hearts. Second, stand in the place as a creation of God, make no demands of Him, and have a submissive heart as we pray.
